A chartered guild of the Puppeteers of America
Serving Oregon and Southwestern Washington since 1975

Our next CAP meeting will be Friday May 30 at 7:00 p.m.
at the home/shop of Steve Overton & Marty Richmond, 906 SE Umatilla St, Portland, OR. For directions call 503-233-7723

We will be starting the election process with nominations for President, Vice President-Programs, Vice President-Membership, and Secretary/Treasurer being accepted at the meeting. The election will be held at our June meeting, with officers taking office in July.

BUT, More Importantly, we will be playing the DVD of the CAP Cabaret for members who missed it live and those who wish to see their performance on the medium screen TV.

So, here's the deal. Everyone who was in the Cabaret gets one free DVD of the whole performance (edited down it's two hours long with the between act stuff which made for a long evening cut out). It even has chapters so you can jump to your favorite acts.

Everyone who was NOT in the Cabaret can purchase one or more DVD's at $10.00 each, with $5 each going to the CAP treasury.

[Ping Pong is Building a New Puppet Museum]

CAP's own Olde World Puppet Theatre has an on-line puppet museum featuring puppet activities that are fun and educational for the whole family. There are already lots of pages and pictures, and more are added almost every week.

There are puppets that you can download and build, pictures of puppets, puppet history, links to puppet sites around the world, and an ongoing feature describing the Olde World Puppet Theatre building puppets for several different productions, including Tears of Joy Theatre's production: Perseus, Hero of Ancient Greece.

To visit the museum, click here or on the picture of Ping Pong above.

If you have an upcoming public production in the Pacific Northwest area that you would like listed here, see the contact information below.
